Workshop format:
Introduction to sustainable floristry methods, and equipment
Demonstration of how to design with foraged materials
Activity; how to condition (prepare) a variety of British Spring flowers & foliage
Demonstration of professional spiral hand-tied bouquet
Guided creation of your own spiral hand-tied bouquet for your favourite vase
Guided assembly of supporting vessels (jars & bottles)
Hands on experimentation of where to place your designs to make
a cohesive and practical display
 
Kathryn says “My teaching style is non-prescriptive and informal so participants will be able to ask questions throughout.
 
Tutor will provide: 
Floristry scissors 
floristry books for inspiration
buckets for green waste
pots for offcuts during making
twine
examples of sustainable mechanics used to make other arrangements.
 
Participants to bring: 
1 favourite vase
3-5 small glass jars/ bottles each ideally of varying heights e.g. 1 jam jar, 1 sauce bottle, 1 miniature condiment jar but no worries if they are all the same. 
Mixture of British Spring flowers and foliage.
